For the little ones, and the rooms they grow into.
ACAYA Little begins with ILANGA, a series of six pieces that tell one day in the bushveld, from first light to bedtime.
About the name
Ilanga (ee-LAHN-gah) is the isiZulu word for the sun. This series follows its journey through one day in the bushveld, from first light over the horizon to the moment it sets and the moon keeps watch. One day, and the little ones who live it.
The landscapes are drawn from the South African bush that shaped ACAYA: kopjes, riverbeds, acacia trees and the animals that move between them.
The story
01 Horizon
First light, stay close.
02 Riverbed
Little feet follow the river.
03 Kopje
Strong roots, warm sun.
04 Shoreline
Where the river meets the sea.
05 Valley
Every path leads home.
06 Nightfall
Rest easy, little one.
The same visual language
Each piece is composed from layered textures, quiet planes of colour and a single line of gold, the same visual language as the rest of our work. Soft enough for a nursery, considered enough to grow with them.
Collect the set
Hung in order, the six read as a short bedtime verse. Every piece shares the same proportions, so any combination hangs together. A few ways to start:
- The full day: all six, 01 to 06, in a grid of three by two.
- Day: Horizon, Riverbed and Kopje, in warm earth tones.
- Night: Shoreline, Valley and Nightfall, in cooler, quieter tones.
- First and last light: Horizon and Nightfall, a pair for a smaller wall or a gift.
Collect more and save: 10% off two pieces, 15% off three and 20% off six or more, applied automatically at checkout.
