Built by hand in layers of mineral texture, this sculptural work divides the panel along a single sloping ridge. A warm sand-taupe plane rises from the left and falls away to the right, beneath a pale cream field whose surface is finely crazed with crackle, like earth baked dry under a long sun.

Set against the slope, a raised bronze-and-gold block stands upright, its hand-worked surface catching light in shifting tones of amber and burnished copper. It sits where the land meets the sky: a single point of heat in a quiet, sun-bleached landscape.

Each piece is individually formed and finished by hand, allowing variations in texture, edges, surface markings, and metallic patina to remain part of the work rather than being concealed. Built on a lightweight wood panel base with applied foam-core, ready to hang.
