IMVUBU – Hippo Canvas Wall Art

Seen from above, a hippo and her calf rest in a quiet pool, only their eyes and ears above the water, rings spreading softly around them. Deep teal water curves between pale banks of stone, edged with a single line of gold. IMVUBU: Still water, side by side.

Imvubu (eem-VOO-boo) is the isiZulu and isiXhosa word for the hippo. A standalone piece from ACAYA Little, it shares the same proportions as the ILANGA series, so it hangs easily alongside it, perhaps as a tall centrepiece between two landscapes.
